Program Overview

The Electromechanical master's program aims primarily to extend the knowledge acquired by students holding a university bachelor's degree in Electromechanics. The goal is to train versatile professionals in Electromechanics who can adapt to various situations and constraints imposed by the industrial domain. Since the training program is situated at the intersection of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, students will follow several courses to enhance their understanding of mechanics, such as industrial mechanisms, power transmission and fluid mechanics on one hand, and electrotechnics, such as modeling and simulation of converter-electric machine systems, power electronics, and automation on the other hand.

Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

Electromechanics is an interdisciplinary field of engineering that integrates mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines, covering the widest range of engineering topics. Electromechanics students are required to take the following core modules: Modeling and simulation of electrical machines, Advanced power electronics, Industrial electrical networks, Control of electrical machines, Diagnostics and monitoring, Modeling and simulation of converter-machine systems, Advanced control and regulation techniques, Microprocessors and PLCs, Industrial mechanisms and power transmission, Hydraulic and pneumatic machines, Hydraulic and pneumatic control, Applied fluid mechanics and Organization and management of industrial maintenance.

Advanced Topics

We regularly engage in discussions to propose new research topics for students, ensuring that their work aligns with the latest advancements in the field and addresses real-world challenges. We have shown a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in Electromechanics, particularly within the context of the Internet of Things (IoT). Our ideas and vision have inspired students and colleagues to explore cutting-edge technologies combining AI, IoT, and Electromechanics.

Our vision perfectly aligns with the international trend of encouraging the development and investment in AI. Our idea is to integrate AI into Electromechanical applications, enhance energy efficiency, and support the development of smart infrastructures to bolster Algeria's economy and technology.
