Browse Programs Admission InformationThe applications of polymers as raw materials in non-traditional sectors are currently experiencing strong growth (of the order of more than 10% per year). The opening of this formation: master with integrated degree course (MCIL) “Polymer Engineering”, has the following objectives:
- To adapt the course to the regional and national socio-economic situation;
- The proposed option targets service professions;
- Innovation and creation of micro-enterprises;
- Creation of a partnership with industry to facilitate the integration of student trainees.
The choice of this course was dictated above all by the presence in the Sétif region of a large number of public and private companies involved in plastics processing.
The marked growth of this activity in the region, and even nationally and internationally, is creating a growing demand for qualified personnel in the field of polymer processing.
The fundamental modules included in the program are mathematics, general chemistry, physics, vibration and waves, probability and statistics and fluid mechanics.
These include the study of: rheology, the different classes of polymers, polymer processing, the physico-chemical properties of polymers, rubber technology, composite polymers, nanocomposites and polymer blends.
This course is national and international in scope, and enrolment is open to students having a baccalaureate with an average grade of 12/20 or above.
