This specialization aims to train students in one of the fields of political science, namely local administration, which is considered a fundamental pillar upon which democratic construction rests. This is achieved through a new approach represented by participatory democracy, which can only be supported by activating the role of local administration as a key player in development policies. Consequently, students, particularly those graduating in political science, must receive specialized training in all aspects of local administration, including its organizational, administrative, and financial applications, as well as all related ideas and practices.
Furthermore, the current reality is marked by an increasing rate of population growth, with its various repercussions on the environment, leading to a surge in demands that central administration cannot meet. This highlights the importance of local administration as a mechanism for practicing participatory democracy, bringing public administration closer to citizens and enabling them to play a direct and effective oversight role.
