Program Overview

The Master’s program in Educational Psychology is a natural extension of undergraduate studies in disciplines such as Educational Psychology, Special Education, Guidance and Counseling, and School Psychology. Generally, the curriculum of the Master’s program in Educational Psychology encompasses theoretical knowledge and field applications, including a range of psychological measures relevant to the field and their implementation in educational contexts. Additionally, it covers methodologies for psychological and educational research, as well as the design and application of various assessments and tests within educational environments

First Year (Master’s 1):

The Master’s program in Educational Psychology is structured over two academic years, comprising four semesters distributed as follow : 

-         The first semester :  concludes with the administration of examinations for the regular session and the supplementary session of the first semester, followed by the deliberation of results for both the regular and first supplementary sessions

-         Second Semester: Concludes with the administration of examinations for the regular session and the supplementary session of the second semester, followed by the deliberation of results for both the regular and second supplementary sessions

. At the end of the first year, final deliberations are conducted to review student results for the first and second sessions. This process determines ,A list of successful students. Students with a conditional pass ("successful with a debt"), who are permitted to advance to the Second Year (Master’s 2) of the Educational Psychology program. A list of repeating students. Students dismissed from the program .

Second Year (Master’s 2):


Third Semester: Concludes with the administration of examinations for the third semester’s regular and supplementary sessions, followed by deliberations of results for both sessions.

Fourth Semester: Concludes with:

Student assessment in seminar modules Evaluation of students’ internship performance Defense of Master’s theses. Deliberations of student results for the fourth semeste

At the end of the Second Year (Master’s 2) of the Educational Psychology program, final deliberations are conducted to review student results for the third and fourth semesters. This process determines the list of students awarded the Academic Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology

Admissions Information

Admission is open to students holding a Bachelor’s degree (Licence) in one of the following fields:

Educational Psychology (علم النفس التربوي)

 Special Education (التربية الخاصة)

 Counseling and Guidance (إرشاد وتوجيه)

School Psychology (علم النفس المدرسي)

Priority Criteria:

 Academic Progression: Priority is given to students who completed their undergraduate studies under standard conditions:

Regular attendance

. Completion of all required coursework and activities.

 No repeated academic years.

 Specialization Ranking: Applicants are prioritized in the order of the specializations listed above (e.g., Educational Psychology first, followed by Special Education, etc.).

External Candidates: 20% of seats are allocated to applicants from external universities (outside the host institution). These candidates are also prioritized according to the specialization order above
