Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Bachelor's degree in Microbial Biotechnology aims to provide students with fundamental, methodological, and experimental knowledge in the field of Applied Life Sciences. This program is driven by the growing importance of Applied Biology and its multidisciplinary nature, encompassing various fields such as fundamental science, medicine, environmental studies, industry, and agriculture. The training thus covers both the fundamental and applied aspects of biological engineering and bioprocessing, enabling students to meet the needs of various economic sectors particularly in the Constantine region, which is home to several bio industry companies and is expected to become Algeria’s leading biotechnology hub.
The Bachelor's degree program is organized over six semesters, each worth 30 credits (through accumulation or compensation). Each semester corresponds to 14 to 16 weeks of study. A typical week includes between twenty (20) and twenty-five (25) hours of instruction. The curriculum is structured into Teaching Units (UE), which include core units, transversal units, discovery units, and methodological units. Each UE is assigned a coefficient and credits. Once a UE is passed, the corresponding credits are capitalizable and transferable. A UE may consist of one or more subjects, each with its own coefficient and credit value. Instruction is delivered through lectures, tutorials, personal work, internships, and study projects.
Baccalauréat+02 (Biotechnology) after selection by average.
