Program Overview

A Bachelor's degree in Sociology is a general education program that provides students with a sociological foundation, grounded in the theoretical and methodological aspects of the discipline: the history of sociological theory, methodology and application, field research in the social sciences, and an understanding of contemporary social phenomena. Its aim is to train specialists in this field by studying the conceptual framework and the main trends within the discipline, thereby providing students with a solid and robust understanding of sociology through educational modules designed to develop the functions and professions specific to sociology.


The program aims to:

Introduce students to the fundamental principles and concepts of sociology;

-Familiarize them with the knowledge of the founding fathers of sociology, both classical and contemporary;

-Empower sociology students to use the tools and methodologies that facilitate research and field investigation, such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, and statistics, alongside an understanding of the economic and social issues affecting contemporary societies;

-Explore careers and professions related to social work, education, and the public sector.
