Program Overview

This Academic Bachelor's degree in toxicology aims to train students with a thorough understanding of the new methods and techniques of toxicology and various ecotoxicology disciplines. To this end, various specialized subjects in toxicology, pharmacology, and ecotoxicology are offered, with a focus on analytical expertise in experimental biology.


The training is designed to provide students with the essential theoretical and experimental skills needed to:

  • Integrate into research teams at universities and research centers working in toxicology and ecotoxicology.
  • Conduct research or development activities in the industrial sector: pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical industries, pollution control, analysis and quality control laboratories.

This training has three main axes: Training, Development and Scientific Research (Environment, Toxicology, and Human Health). For this, a number of establishments providing support for the pedagogical and practical training of students already exist, these are the University of Jijel with its various departments (molecular and cellular biology, environmental sciences and agricultural sciences) and laboratories (Molecular Toxicology Laboratory, Molecular and Cellular Biology Laboratory and Biotechnology, Environment and Health Laboratory) as well as numerous industrial units.

Admissions Information

Holders of a Toxicology degree can choose other similar courses available at other universities (Master's in Toxicology and the Environment, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, etc.).
