Program Overview

Plant protection is an evolving sector, in terms of concepts and actors, as discussions on reducing the use of phytosanitary products, developing alternative crop protection methods, environmental impacts of pesticides, or even pesticide residues in food demonstrate this ideally, as the labour market is developing accordingly and becoming very diverse.

Advanced Topics

Plant protection, as a scientific field, depends on the interaction and integration of many diverse disciplines. The aim of this composition is to provide students with well-established scientific and methodological knowledge as well as the necessary thinking tools, analysis of plant protection problems within agricultural systems, design of innovative, effective and sustainable ways of protecting, predicting their economic, environmental and food safety consequences. The other objective is to form executives capable of managing and understanding plant diseases and the development of plant pests on the one hand, and on the other hand, capable of implementing a justified and integrated control strategy that is effective and respectful of the environment. This composition will form a solid base for future researchers who will be able to pursue studies in master's and Ph.D. in plant protection.

This composition aims to become the students made up as reference persons in the field of plant protection, as they must have a good knowledge of the plant sector and its organization, particularly in the field of specialized plant production; Know how to identify, diagnose and solve phytosanitary problems; Propose and implement technically satisfactory and economically viable controls that respect the environment and public health; Know alternative protection methods for chemical control and ensure their implementation, have good knowledge of the regulatory aspects of the plant health sector and approval of phytosanitary products.
