Browse Programs Admission InformationBiotechnology is the set of techniques that allow the development or transformation of products from living organisms. In the field of health, it has now become a key science and a complementary technological tool, used in the production of molecules for therapeutic use (medicines, vaccines), the diagnosis of several pathologies and in the control of production processes.
The biotechnology in health degree is designed to enable the acquisition of fundamental and technical bases, through in-depth teaching of structural and metabolic biochemistry, enzymology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology-toxicology, genetics and molecular biology. The first year (common core) is common to all biology students. During the second year, two modules were introduced to the common core teachings, namely Introduction to Biotechnology and Applications of Biotechnology. These two modules, taught in the 2nd year, aim to provide an overview of the different aspects of biotechnology as well as mastery of techniques in general biology.
