Arabic Literature BA

The adaptation of the curriculum in the Department of Arabic Literature and Language with the new vision of higher education adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aims to provide students with substantial knowledge in the field of mastery of the Arabic language, familiarity with its literature, and recognition of other world literatures, while also enabling students to acquire various skills to be used in their professional future. To achieve this goal, this proposal focuses on methodological courses that provide students with cognitive keys that allow them to obtain knowledge in their specialization through their own efforts, supported by the guidance of their instructors.

Training objectives:

1- The ability to produce texts, writing, and editing to achieve social and cultural communication.

2- The ability to critique, analyze, interpret, and reinterpret.

3- The ability to proofread and correctly identify meanings in order to achieve accurate and effective communication.

4- The ability to argue, persuade, and conduct precise semantic analysis.

5- The ability to research and utilize methods of organization, coordination, and arrangement.

6- The ability to express, write, debate, and integrate learnings in various social and cultural communication situations.

7- The ability to communicate and engage culturally across various fields.

8- The ability to process information electronically and prepare documentation files, as well as the ability to write and express oneself in foreign languages and translate in communication situations.

9- The ability to practice national rights and duties within the framework of applicable laws.

10- The ability to interact with cultures and engage in intellectually diverse dialogues.

11- The ability to establish one's own institution for investment in the field of specialization, discover untapped areas, and open up to the socio-economic space.

Regarding professional integration, this degree allows students to work in sectors that concern Modern Standard Arabic and its developments, such as: education, cultural and intellectual fields, journalism, and scientific research and so on.
