Admissions Information

  • Required Qualification: A Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) with a grade point average (GPA) accepted for university placement in the Arabic Language and Literature department or literary streams (Arts and Philosophy, Foreign Languages, Management and Economics with literary subjects).
  • Academic System: The training follows the LMD system (Licence (Bachelor's)-Master-Doctorate) for a duration of three years (six semesters), culminating in the defense of a graduation thesis (Bachelor's Thesis).
  • Selection Process: Selection is conducted through the "University Orientation" platform based on the Baccalaureate overall average and the student's preferences. For Foreign students, applications are submitted via diplomatic channels or the "Study in Algeria" platform.
  • Language Proficiency: A high level of proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic (reading, writing, and comprehension) is required to follow lectures and understand literary texts. A certificate of proficiency in Arabic for non-native speakers is preferred (if available).
  • Required Documents for International Students: Certified Baccalaureate certificate, official transcripts, passport, birth certificate, personal photos, medical certificate, and the initial registration fee (subject to "Study in Algeria" platform instructions).

Linguistic Profile: Proficiency in a second foreign language (English or French) is recommended for accessing references
