Browse Programs Admission InformationTraining Objectives The Master's in Contemporary Literary Criticism aims to train specialized researchers to address the problems posed in social, economic, educational, and cultural realities, related to our own approach to applying literary criticism and reading texts. In designing the project, we paid great attention to local specificities. D- Targeted Qualifications and Capabilities - Developing special and distinguished competencies in the field of criticism. - Facilitating dialogue between disciplines, thus contributing to breaking intellectual isolation and achieving dialogue among civilizations and the global village. - Developing local literature, and Algerian literature in particular, by being saturated with critical trends in world literature. - Mastering literary criticism, which can only be achieved through a solid grasp of various genres of writing. Training critical, cultured, and knowledgeable teachers to ensure better future supervision. - Linguistic qualifications: Proficiency in using the language and Arabic correctly. - Literary and artistic qualifications: Ability to appreciate and interpret art and literature. - Critical qualifications: Distinguish between good and bad literature, and between correct and incorrect language. - Educational qualifications: Acquiring effective teaching methods based on modern pedagogical and scientific foundations.

Students in the literary criticism specialization connect the literary and economic institutions by creating economic projects related to sustainable development and artificial intelligence.
Core Courses Two academic years: the first year of a Master's degree (two semesters) and the second year of a Master's degree (two semesters), totaling four semesters during the Master's program. All training materials are grouped based on topics. For each topic, you can choose a difficulty level (Beginner, Basic, or Intermediate). All materials in a topic of a given difficulty level are called a training module. To advance to the next level, users must complete all training modules for the previous level.
Advanced Topics Students are required to have a basic understanding of Arabic literature and its criticism, as well as Western literature and its criticism, as well as familiarity with the major approaches to analyzing critical and literary texts.
Admissions Information Determining the typical undergraduate tracks that allow for enrollment in the proposed Master's program: *To enter the first year (Master's 1), students are allowed to register based on their pedagogical track, as determined by the Master's Pedagogical Committee, according to the following conditions: - Holders of an LMD (Baccalaureate + 6 years) in Arabic Literature - Classical Bachelor's (Baccalaureate + 4 years) in Arabic Literature - A minimum combined GPA of 11 out of 20 The student must have a certificate of good conduct and behavior during the undergraduate stage. *For the second year (Master 2), admission is available to students approved by the Master's Pedagogical Committee. The thesis selection process is a decisive factor in selection.
