Browse Programs Admission InformationAfter acquiring foundational knowledge in the common core curriculum during the first and second years—designed to serve various specializations at the university—students at this stage focus on deepening their study of Sharia, particularly in the fields of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet.
The training emphasizes comparative jurisprudence, hadith, and analytical interpretation, enabling students to understand the fundamental principles that gave rise to jurisprudential branches across different areas of Islamic law. They also explore the underlying reasons for scholarly differences, which contribute to the mercy and flexibility inherent in Sharia.
Additionally, students learn about the methodologies and schools of thought in Islamic legal theory, engaging in fundamentalist discussions that build on their first- and second-year studies.
