Program Overview

The Seismic Geophysical License program consists of six semesters, or 3 years of education. These years are divided as follows:

- 1st year L1=S1+S2: composed of two harmonized semesters in the field of technology sciences whose objective is to consolidate the student’s achievements in mathematics, physics and computer science.

-  2nd year L2=S3+S4: the student is now part of the Geophysical Department. The two semesters are mainly dedicated to the mastery of mathematical methods (study of functions, probabilities-statistics, etc.), physics (studies of waves and vibrations) and computer science (programming language) with the introduction of certain modules directly related to geophysics such as signal processing methods, which are essential for the processing of seismic and other data.

-  3rd year L3=S5+S6: the two semesters are dedicated to the basic concepts of geophysical methods taught at FHC, divided into courses/TD/TP and an internship in a company.
