Program Overview

Quantitative economics is considered one of the most prominent branches of economic science that has witnessed a significant increase in academic demand and administrative and professional empowerment in recent years. This specialization allows for the academic and applied training of students specialized in the use of econometric and quantitative methods in the study of economic phenomena, and who have the ability to continue academic research or enter the field of work and contribute to meeting the needs of economic and financial sectors for qualified personnel capable of making decisions using various forecasting methods based on scientific studies and experiences.

The quantitative economics specialization enables its holder to fully control various quantitative methods for making economic, investment, and financial decisions, especially in light of the intense competition imposed by the global financial environment on the one hand, and the financial disturbances that contemporary economies witness from time to time on the other.

Admissions Information

To be able to enroll in the quantitative economics specialization at the bachelor's level (LMD system), the student must hold a baccalaureate in one of the following specializations:

  • Baccalaureate in Economics and Management.
  • Baccalaureate in Experimental Sciences.
  • Baccalaureate in Mathematics.

This is through the field of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, and Management Sciences, and then to the Department of Economic Sciences.
