Program Overview

This program aims to train students in all areas related to public law and public litigation. The importance of this specialization lies in the urgent need of the Algerian state for such expertise, both academically and professionally. Therefore, it is necessary to train legal professionals specialized in advanced public law due to its relevance to public administration and constitutional and administrative institutions of all kinds.

·        Enable students who have not had the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies to integrate into the professional field, given the nature of the specialization (Environmental Law), especially in areas such as dispute resolution services in various administrative and economic sectors, and legal consulting.

·        Provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the specialization and its main fields.

·        Deepen students’ knowledge of the core foundations of the specialization.

·        Equip students with tools and skills in scientific research, professional techniques of a technical nature, and communication with their environment.

·        Provide students with the opportunity to receive training in the specialization path in Arabic, while also enhancing their foreign language skills and equipping them with legal and practical knowledge in the field of environmental protection. This also includes deepening their scientific capabilities in line with the national job market, which shows a high demand for graduates with advanced studies in this field across various national and local sectors.

·        This specialization allows researchers and university professors to contribute to national and international efforts in identifying general environmental principles, seeking mechanisms for environmental protection, determining the basis of environmental liability, and exploring its governance and regulation—among other core issues covered in this specialization.

The creation of a Master’s degree in Environmental Law aims to develop and enhance the scientific and theoretical capacities of students holding a Bachelor’s degree in Law, and to provide them with fundamental knowledge in the field of environmental law and sustainable development, in order to deepen their academic level and prepare them for doctoral studies.
