Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Master's degree in Ecosystem Protection is a specialty in the field of Natural and Life Sciences, and also a specialized program in Ecology. This specialty will allow students with previous general environmental knowledge to deepen their knowledge through theoretical and practical training specifically in the fields of environmental contamination, the treatment and recovery of all types of waste, as well as environmental management and law. This program aims to train future researchers and managers in the fields of environmental management, natural resource conservation, and ecosystem protection.
The core courses provide students with the basic concepts of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, ecosystem protection methods, and the key management, development, and restoration techniques required for various types of ecosystems. These include topics such as: Ecosystem Diversity; Ecosystem Functioning; Ecosystem Management; and Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration. Student skills are assessed based on: student empowerment; regular monitoring of knowledge acquisition; oral expression skills; teamwork and synthesis skills; and assessment of student abilities, not knowledge.
The course content aims to preserve ecosystems, present the functioning of disturbed systems, the different environments (air, water, soil), the impact of pollution on receiving environments (ecosystems, materials, public health), and the political and economic dimensions of the environment.
This Master's degree also provides mastery of environmental diagnostics. To acquire knowledge in decision-making support, environmentally friendly management and development methods; To prepare and introduce students to applied environmental research activities. The course is supplemented by technical field visits, lectures, and seminars related to this field.
