Program Overview

The University Center of Maghnia offers academic training in the field of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences, with the objective of equipping students with solid academic knowledge and practical skills in economics, finance, and business management, in accordance with the requirements of the national economy and the transformations characterizing the contemporary economic environment.

At the Bachelor’s level, this field includes the following streams: Economic Sciences, comprising the specializations of Monetary and Financial Economics (EMF) and Economics and Business Management (EGE), and Management Sciences, which include the specializations of Financial Management and Business/Enterprise Management. The training is based on providing students with theoretical foundations in economic and financial analysis, in addition to quantitative and statistical tools, as well as managements techniques and decision-making methods, with particular emphasis on applied aspects and on linking theoretical knowledge to professional practice.

This training aims to enable students to understand the mechanisms governing financial markets, economic institutions, and monetary and fiscal policies, while developing their analytical and organizational skills. It prepares graduates for integration into the labor market across various economic and financial sectors or for the continuation of their studies in related Master’s programs.

Furthermore, the University Center of Maghnia places strong emphasis on enhancing the employability of its graduates through a progressive training structure, the completion of final-year projects, and the organization of field internships, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified professionals capable of supporting local and national economic development

The Bachelor’s program at the University Center of Maghnia includes the following streams:

  • Economic Sciences: comprising the specializations of Monetary and Financial Economics (EMF) and Economics and Business Management (EGE).
  •  Management Sciences: comprising the specializations of Financial Management and Business/Enterprise Management.

 The program focuses on providing students with fundamental theoretical knowledge in:

  •  It also aims to develop students’ practical skills, analytical and organizational capacities, and to link theoretical knowledge with professional practice through field internships and applied projects. The Bachelor’s program at the Institute of Economics and Management allows students to gradually choose their specialization:

  • First Year: A common entry for all tracks, aimed at introducing students to different academic subjects and helping them identify their interests.
  • Second Year: Students choose one of the following tracks: Economic Sciences or Management Sciences.
  • Third Year: Students continue their chosen track with a specific specialization:
  •  Economic Track: Monetary and Financial Economics (EMF) or Economics and Business Management (EGE)
  • Management Track: Financial Management or Business/Enterprise Management

Admissions Information

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s programs: Open to students holding a Baccalaureate in Mathematics, Arabic Literature, Economics and Management, or Sciences, or an equivalent qualification. This includes students from the classical system and those completing a second Baccalaureate.
  •  Master’s programs: Students are generally admitted to specializations corresponding to their Bachelor’s track. Students from similar tracks within the same field may also apply.

Foreign Students:

Admission is possible after obtaining an equivalency certificate from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the "Study in Algeria" system.

Foreign applicants can join Master’s programs if the curriculum matches their previous studies.

These admission rules ensure inclusive access and equal opportunities for all local and foreign students while maintaining alignment between Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.
