Program Overview

This program enables students to learn and master French as a Foreign Language (FLE), while developing strong linguistic, literary, and didactic skills. It also provides access to essential tools for conducting academic research. The program focuses on cognitive, pedagogical, and scientific competencies, equipping students not only to teach French as a foreign language, but also to apply their skills across various professional fields where French is used.

Over the course of three years—or six semesters—students follow a program structured around four units per semester :

  • Core untit, centered on both oral and written comprehension and expression, grammar, linguistics, and phonetics;
  • Methodological unit, which introduces students to academic research methods, critical reading, digital literacy, and the use of ICTs and e-learning tools;
  • Exploratory unit, offering insights into French civilization and translation;
  • Cross-disciplinary unit, including English language training and entrepreneurship.

The aim of this program is to provide students with a solid foundation in both French language and literature. By progressing through each semester, they will gradually develop a scientific and analytical mindset—one that prepares them to confidently pursue advanced studies at the Master’s or even Doctorate level.
