Program Overview

The English Department at the University of Jijel offers a comprehensive and robust academic program designed for students interested in exploring the English language, its literature, and culture. The first-year Bachelor's program aims to build a solid foundation in English language skills, with a focus on essential grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic communication. Through this program, students will learn how to understand and construct basic sentences, engage in everyday conversations, and improve their reading and writing skills.

Admissions Information

Admission to the English Department at the University of Jijel is based on the following criteria:

For students from scientific streams:

  • A minimum overall Baccalaureate average of 13 out of 20
  • A minimum score of 12 out of 20 in English

For students from foreign language streams:

  • A minimum overall Baccalaureate average of 10 out of 20
  • A minimum score of 12 out of 20 in English
