Course Objectives
After completing the core curriculum, which consists of two semesters corresponding to the first year of the undergraduate program, students can pursue courses in two professional bachelor's degrees in the Urban Technology Management field, including Urban Engineering.
The main objective of the Urban Engineering Bachelor's degree is to train students capable
of bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to the diverse challenges of the city.
The professional training in Urban Engineering offers students an education that allows them to master the technical aspects of this discipline by integrating them into a broader field: the urban context, developments, and services. The undergraduate academic curriculum is organized around four main areas:
Language of instruction: French
Core Courses
Assessments are primarily conducted through standard assessment sessions and make-up exams.
For courses: a written exam is administered at the end of the semester, followed by continuous assessment based on practical work, field trip reports, or tutorials.
For tutorials: their assessment is determined by the teaching team (research, personal work, written exams, etc.).
In addition, students must prepare a final dissertation, which includes a theoretical and a practical component, completed as part of a mandatory internship at an institution selected from among the entities affiliated by agreement with the University of Jijel or at an institution organically linked to other institutes in other Algerian universities.
Advanced Topics
Students who have obtained a bachelor's degree at a university may pursue, subject to certain conditions (grade point average, content of the completed teaching units, etc.), studies preparing for all existing master's degrees (academic or professional) at Urban Technology Management institutions.
Other students in the field (AUMV) may apply for the master's program at a university if they are compatible.
Advanced topics concern cutting-edge techniques resulting from the application of digitalization and artificial intelligence to the field of environmental design and the preservation of ecosystem balances in order to develop a sustainable and efficient built environment.
Eligible candidates are those with a bachelor's degree who are admitted to apply according to the average required for the specialty and who have a scientific or technical profile.
