- Address written comprehension and expression in the language of study. Students must be able to produce a coherent text.
- Enable students to develop their textual, metatextual, and linguistic knowledge by reading all types of texts and subsequently producing them.
- Establish/develop reading and writing skills (and strategies).
- Be able to identify literal and inferential meaning.
Subject 2: Oral Comprehension and Expression 3 (CEO3)
Course Objectives (S03 and 04)
- To enable the student to master different types of speech
- To express themselves clearly and precisely, at a level appropriate to the situation

Subject 3: Grammar
Course Objectives
Grammar in the second year of the Bachelor's program focuses on compound sentences and complex sentences. The objective of Semester 3 is to enable the student to identify compound sentences and correctly apply the different types and forms of sentences in the appropriate communication situation. The objective of Semester 4 is to lead students to identify complex sentences and correctly apply different sentence types and forms in the appropriate communication situation.

- Categorize linguistic and discourse facts in the language of study, with the ability to distinguish between the two levels.
- Analytical skills based on vocabulary and its categories; understand the organization of a language's vocabulary and how it is classified.
- Introduce enunciative linguistics as a means of analyzing discourse in various communication situations and develop this skill.

- Mastery of linguistic approaches to analyzing textual and discourse corpora. - Provide the learner with linguistic and conceptual tools to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills based on two related theories: enunciative and pragmatic.

Phonetics 3

- To lead students to clear and natural pronunciation and intonation.
- To consolidate their acquired knowledge of the French phonetic system.
- To pay particular attention to rhythmic, prosodic, and expressive phenomena.

- To acquire clear and intelligible pronunciation. Further Development of Learning Objectives:
- The student must be able to identify and distinguish vowels that may pose a pronunciation problem in the phonetic system of standard French.
- The student must become aware of phonetic-graphic relationships to correct their pronunciation and develop a deeper understanding of the spelling code.

Course Objectives
S03 - Acquire reading skills by identifying the specific characteristics of oral, written, and multimodal texts (multiple codes).
- To help students acquire skills such as narrating, explaining, arguing, and describing.
- To acquire skills in analysis, synthesis, and reformulation (written and oral).
- To relate texts to the language system, types of text sequences, and textuality (coherence/cohesion).
- To relate these specific characteristics to the contexts of use.
- To introduce learners to the concept of literary and non-literary genres.
- To develop students' critical thinking skills.

Advanced Topics
The training program we offer is fully aligned with regional and national employability potential. Upon completion of their undergraduate program, students will receive a French language diploma, which will give them a strong chance of being admitted to various educational institutions: primary schools, vocational training centers, high schools, private schools, etc.
Furthermore, the training provided will equip them with oral and written communication skills in French that private industrial companies operating in the province can leverage for their communications, marketing, administrative, and other activities.
