Program Overview

The Department of Economics is the oldest and most prestigious department in the Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences at Constantine 2 University, Abdelhamid Mehri. With its extensive experience, the department is well-equipped to offer comprehensive and modern programs for students who choose to join us. The department provides various specializations, including a Bachelor's degree in Monetary and Financial Economics and a Bachelor's degree in International Economics. Additionally, a new Bachelor's program in Business Economics and Management will soon be launched. Furthermore, the department offers students the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in all these specializations.

Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

 We have two examination sessions: a regular session and a remedial session. Students enter the remedial session if they do not pass or succeed in the regular session.

Advanced Topics

 For advanced topics, the programs offered to students across different specializations include several advanced subjects depending on the field of study. Some of these topics include specialized foreign languages, advanced econometrics, applied IT in finance, blockchain, modern theories of international trade, time series analysis, negotiation and economic diplomacy, global value chains, statistical software, and other advanced programs that enable students to keep up with developments in both the global and local economy.

Admissions Information

For a student to be accepted into these specializations, certain conditions must be met, including: obtaining a high school diploma (Baccalaureate) with a grade that meets or exceeds the minimum set by the relevant ministry and choosing the economic sciences track. This applies to the undergraduate level.

At the master's level, enrollment is guaranteed for students who have pursued the specialization within the department. External students, whether from other universities or former graduates, can apply, but admission is based on their ranking scores and the institution's capacity
