Program Overview


Electrical energy lies at the heart of the economic development of any country. It is undeniably vital for the operation of all mechanisms that govern various social dynamics. In this regard, electrotechnics, in all its segments (generation, transmission, distribution, conversion, and control), has long held a prominent position in the industrial sector and continues to be a focus of special attention, scientific investment, and continuous technological advancement.

Electrotechnics is constantly evolving, driven by progress in power electronics, microprocessors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Moreover, optimizing electrotechnical systems and improving their efficiency has become a promising challenge for the sector, particularly through the application of sustainable development principles, such as reducing equipment weight and using recyclable materials.

These major technological developments in recent years have significantly increased industrial companies' demand for skilled professionals in the field of electrotechnics. Therefore, investing in education and training qualified engineers to meet these challenges has become essential. This training program is designed with that objective in mind.

The program is structured over six semesters. The first two semesters (common core) are shared by all students in the Science and Technology domain. The third semester marks a pre-specialization phase and brings together students from the Electrical Engineering family. From the fourth semester onward, the coursework becomes specialized, focusing mainly on electrotechnics.

This bachelor's degree, by its generalist nature, offers balanced training in four key areas of electrotechnics:

  1. Electrical machines
  2. Electrical networks
  3. Automation (control systems)
  4. Power electronics

The structure of the program reflects the increasing interconnection of these areas in modern applications—an electric machine is often used with a static converter and a control circuit, making it essential for students to be proficient in all these aspects.
