Browse Programs Admission Information· The Master's program with a specialization in "Microbiology" is a multidisciplinary training program with either a Research or Professional focus. Its objective is the acquisition of concepts and methodological tools in the various fields of Microbiology (medical, pharmaceutical, industrial, environmental, agri-food, etc.). This training will thus cover the different fundamental and applied aspects of microbiology to enable students to meet the numerous needs of the various sectors of the national economy and research.
· The purpose of this Master's program is to train researchers or professionals in the medical and industrial fields, as well as for local authorities.
· The training is based on conventional teaching methods (Lectures, Tutorials, and Practical Work) supplemented by the completion of projects (practical project, literature review, oral and poster presentations, design and implementation of experiments).
· Progressive immersion in the professional environment is facilitated by individualized student support to help them formulate their career plans and choose their internship location.
· The 6-month internship in Master 2 allows students to gain solid professional experience, during which they will have acquired good abilities to write, present, analyze, discuss, and synthesize data.

· The Master's in Microbiology offers an in-depth exploration of crucial areas in modern microbiology. Students will delve into the complexities of infectious and medical bacteriology, gaining a sharp understanding of pathogenic mechanisms and diagnostic strategies. They will also explore the microbiology of food, an essential sector for product safety and quality. A significant part of the training is dedicated to advanced techniques in molecular biology, indispensable tools for microbiological research and diagnostics. The program also addresses the study of natural substances and their antimicrobial power, opening perspectives for the discovery of new therapeutic agents. Enzymology, both fundamental and applied, is explored to understand the role of enzymes in microbial processes and their biotechnological applications. Bioinformatics is integrated for the analysis of complex biological data. Microbial interactions, clinical epidemiology, the analysis of pathological products, as well as parasitology and medical mycology complete this comprehensive overview. Finally, a solid training in statistics is provided to enable rigorous analysis of experimental and epidemiological data.
· Admission to the first year of the Master's program in Microbiology is national and will be open to all Bachelor's degree holders in specializations related to Microbiology (Bachelor's in Microbiology).
