Program Overview

The doctoral training program at the Faculty of Law – University of Algiers 1 (2024–2025) aims to prepare researchers specialized in three main fields: Administration and Finance (or Governance and Public Administration), Judicial Law (for the protection of rights and freedoms), and Business Law. This program is part of national efforts to reform higher education and is based on partnership agreements, particularly with the Ministry of Finance, allowing for demand-driven training and the recruitment of graduates as trainers in its institutions.

The Administration and Finance specialization focuses on training researchers in governance and public management, while the Judicial Law specialization prepares experts in civil and criminal procedures, in partnership with the Supreme Court and the National Chamber of Judicial Officers. Business Law covers legal aspects of the economy, such as investment, banking law, and intellectual property.

These specializations align with the strategic priorities of the Ministry of Higher Education, particularly the concepts of governance, rights and freedoms, and economic development, with an emphasis on connecting the university with its socio-economic environment and ensuring integration among state sectors.
