National Higher School of Technology and Engineering

The National Higher School of Technology and Engineering – Annaba was established by Executive Decree No. 22-440, dated 23 Jumada al-Awwal 1444 (December 17, 2022). The school is the result of the merger of the National Higher School of Mines and Metallurgy and the Higher School of Industrial Technologies in Annaba, which were integrated into the National Higher School of Technology and Engineering.

Our school is classified as a public institution with a scientific, cultural, and professional mission. It has legal personality and financial autonomy and operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Located in Sidi Ammar, Annaba Province, the school has a capacity of 2,000 pedagogical seats and is equipped with modern facilities, including technical laboratories, workshops, computer labs, classrooms, a state-of-the-art library, and other learning spaces.

The institution is dedicated to science and technology, aiming to contribute to the scientific, economic, political, and social development of the country.

The school admits top-ranking baccalaureate graduates from the Mathematics, Technical Sciences, and Experimental Sciences streams. Its educational mission is to support, train, and develop a multidisciplinary scientific culture to prepare the future engineers of tomorrow.

The scientific disciplines form the core of the coursework, complemented by experimental work conducted in laboratories, workshops, and field visits. In addition, students receive courses in economics and management.

In line with the Higher Education and Scientific Research sector's objectives, two foreign languages (French and English) have been integrated into the curriculum. This ensures that graduates, trained in project management and business strategy, can effectively apply their knowledge and skills in economic and social contexts.

Key Requirements

1. Baccalaureate holders are admitted based on the minimum grade thresholds set by the authorities.
2. Second-cycle students are admitted into one of the school’s disciplines after successfully passing the national entrance examination for the second cycle of higher schools.
