The training in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences aims to raise the level of Bachelor's degree holders, increase their scientific and professional skills, and make them more aware of the scientific and practical issues surrounding this specialisation.

 The specialised master's degree also includes materials aimed at deepening the scientific knowledge of students, which will raise the scientific and practical capabilities of candidates and make them able to make appropriate decisions in the field of this specialisation in scientific terms with appropriate scientific and academic methods, and this training helps them to continue the research and scientific path in the specialisation of criminal law and criminal sciences in detail.

 The discipline of criminal sciences is characterised by continuous expansion and development, as it is not limited to judicial activity only, but also includes institutions, bodies and professions that contribute to confronting the criminal phenomenon with advanced scientific methods that have proven their effectiveness in countries that have succeeded in confronting the phenomenon with these methods and mechanisms.

 Therefore, the main objective of this training is to seek to enable students of this specialisation with qualifications and abilities based on scientific and practical achievement that will find effective and efficient solutions to criminal phenomena on the ground.

Confronting delinquency and crime, in particular, as a social phenomenon necessitates the need to familiarise oneself with scientific and practical knowledge, especially technical ones, in order to achieve the objective of this training and specialisation

The training seeks to enable students to acquire new qualifications that will enable them to join positions in various specialised centres, including positions within penal institutions, as well as judicial and security work: 

- Positions within penal institutions, as well as judicial and security work, in addition to positions related to in-depth research and investigation work in specialised laboratories at the level of universities or affiliated with state institutions such as security services, gendarmerie or military services at the level of various institutions such as universities or those affiliated with state institutions such as security services, gendarmerie or military services.

These institutions, whether local, regional or national in nature, can enable capabilities that seek to enhance international cooperation in the fight against crime in general and transnational organised crime in particular.

Admissions Information

Enrolment requirements: 

- Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Private Law and Public Law LLM are eligible for admission to the Master's programme.

- Applicants with a classical bachelor's degree are admitted to the relevant master's programme. 

- Enrolment in this Master's programme is subject to the conditions and criteria set by the Faculty's Ranking and Orientation Committee.
