Program Overview

EPAU offers a five-year training program, which is organised according two (2) main cycles :

 

1- First cycle (basic training) : two (2) years of studies. At the end of these two years, a national contest is organised allowing the selection of the best students to continue studying at EPAU, and receiving at the same time bests students of the departments of architecture from various universities in the country.

2- Second cycle (in-depth training) : three (3) years of studies, which culminate with a bachelor degree after a total of five years of architectural training.

 

Courses are organised into fundamental, methodological, cross-disciplinary and discovery teaching units. The training program consists of a coherent set of teaching units. Each teaching unit comprises one or more subjects delivered through various forms of instruction, including lectures, tutorials, practical work, conferences, seminars, internships and workshops.

Teaching units and their respective subjects are measured in credits. The number of credits assigned to each unit is determined based on the semester’s total required workload, including both in-person instruction and independent student activities such as personal study, reports, dissertations, and internships.

Admissions Information


Access to the undergraduate program at the École Polytechnique d'Architecture et d'Urbanisme (EPAU) is regulated by the national guidance system, in accordance with the circular on pre-registration and orientation for baccalaureate holders for each academic year. Those who are eligible to access to EPAU must be baccalaureate holders with the highest marks according to the number of vacancies and the minimum required general mark set each year.

Admission to the advanced training program at EPAU (Second Cycle) is subject to success in the national competitive entrance contest for Superior Schools. Administrative and academic enrolment, as well as re-registration, take place at the beginning of each academic year within the deadlines set by EPAU. Only students who have completed their enrolment process are authorised to attend classes.
