The Department of English Language and Literature at Badji Mokhtar University-Annaba offers a Bachelor's program in English Language, structured over three years and divided into six semesters. This program aims to provide students with an in-depth mastery of the English language, as well as an understanding of Anglophone cultures and literatures.

This program is designed to prepare students for various professional opportunities, including teaching English, translation, journalism, tourism, and other sectors requiring expertise in the English language.

First Year
The first year focuses on theoretical and methodological teachings that aim to allow students to practice the English language: Written/Oral Expression, Literary Texts, Study Skills, Grammar, Phonetics, Linguistics, Reading and Analyzing Texts, Foreign Language, Civilization, and ICT.
Second Year
The second year focuses on theoretical and methodological teachings that aim to allow students to practice the English language: Written/Oral Expression, Literary Texts, Study Skills, Grammar, Phonetics, Linguistics, Reading and Analyzing Texts, Foreign Language, Civilization, and ICT.
Third Year
The third year focuses on theoretical and methodological teachings that aim to allow students to practice the English language: Written/Oral Expression, ESP Literature, Linguistics, Methodology, Foreign/National Language, Didactics, Psychology, Civilization, and ICT.
Advanced topics include applied phonetics and phonology for better control of pronunciation and accent, comparative linguistics to analyze the differences between English and other languages, as well as language didactics, enabling students to design learning methods tailored to different audiences. Specialized translation in the legal, technical, and literary fields is also covered, as well as the critical analysis of Anglophone literary and cultural works. Finally, modules on business English and digital communication offer a gateway to various professional sectors, preparing graduates for careers in teaching, translation, journalism, and international business.
Access to higher education and training is open to holders of a baccalaureate or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
A new registration procedure has been implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education since the 2014/2015 academic year, whereby pre-registration, orientation, and appeals for new baccalaureate holders are conducted exclusively online.
