The curriculum covers key areas such as phonetics, lexicology, syntax, and lexicography—fields that are closely linked to and enriched by sociolinguistics (including sociophonetics and dialectology), psycholinguistics (where meaning is understood as a mental construct), neuropsychocognitive approaches (focusing on the brain's role in language), and onomastics (the study of names). In essence, the program aims to develop well-defined, specialized skills in these areas.
Another key objective is to build on the groundwork laid during the undergraduate degree, where students spent six semesters exploring the foundations of oral language. This Master's program in linguistics highlights the importance of speech and expression, especially in light of modern approaches to teaching and learning foreign languages. By developing analytical thinking through linguistic study, students will strengthen their academic profiles as future educators and researchers.
Structured over four semesters, the program offers a rich and diverse curriculum. Courses are delivered both in-person and online, and include the following:
By the end of the program, students will have acquired the necessary skills to conduct research, gather and describe linguistic data, analyze it, and present it in a structured and formal way.
