Browse Programs Admission InformationOne of the most important budgets allocated by the state to the development and improvement of the quality of life of the Algerian citizen is that of health. The bill relating to the importation of biomedical equipment becomes higher and higher every year, unfortunately this effort of the state in this area is not supported by training and/or research activity in biomedical engineering that should be provided by training establishments such as universities. This has made our country completely dependent on industrialized countries in terms of biotechnological equipment in general and biomedical equipment in particular. Moreover, a flagrant lack of personnel specialized in the diagnosis of needs in terms of adequate biomedical equipment, their maintenance and/or repair has led to a great loss of financial resources allocated to this sector. To address this shortcoming, an LMD-type training course has been implemented within the Electronics Department of Mentouri University in Constantine, which aims to develop scientific activity for mastering biomedical engineering.
- General electronics, power electronics, and sensors.
- Instrumentation (particularly biomedical instrumentation and functional exploration instrumentation)
- Signal processing and physiological signal processing
- Image processing and medical imaging
- Programming languages
- Microprocessors and microcontrollers
This training aims to develop a scientific activity for the mastery of Biotechnology Engineering in general, and Biomedical Engineering in particular.
Students with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering may pursue an academic Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering (Master's in Biomedical Instrumentation).
