The present Master's programme in Language Sciences, German stream, which brings together practically all the four former Master's programmes in German, is of both an academic and a professional nature, given the very high level of similarity in terms of objectives and curriculum. At the end of this Master's course, students should be able to express themselves freely and without any particular difficulty, both orally and in writing, on themes and situations affecting the various linguistic and socio-professional sectors and fields. It is important for the teaching team to give absolute priority to consolidating the language skills acquired during the Bachelor's degree in German. The development of linguistic skills through the development of a reliable and authentic teaching programme enabling students to deepen and further develop their linguistic, communicative and intercultural skills. Students must have a good level of various linguistic, literary and civilisational skills, particularly in the areas of oral and written expression, phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, discourse analysis, specialised language, literature and civilisation. The development of intercultural competence is at the heart of this Master's course in German, and the student is considered at the heart of the course to be a true multiplier of information in any field of communication.

Admissions Information

LMD-compliant German bachelor's degree (Common core + L3) in addition to all the old LMD specialities, whose L3 has already been brought into line (2015/2016). Holders of the old German bachelor's degree also have access to the new harmonised Master's degree in German. The number of candidates to be admitted depends on the human and technical resources available to the training team. The criteria for selecting candidates are set by the teaching staff in strict compliance with the texts and laws governing Master's training.
