Browse Programs Admission InformationAs part of the efforts to promote the university's scientific mission and the urgent need for such specializations that correspond to the university's aspirations to associate with the external environment, the university also contributes with its scientific competencies to the field of integrated development of society.
In response to the aspirations of the Department of Sharia and Law of the Emir Abdelkader University to fulfill its mission, and the implementation of the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education in the development of university scientific research, it was proposed to open a third cycle doctorate in the LMD system, entitled: Human Rights.
The content of the training in the field of human rights is based on the comparative study between legal concepts and other legal concepts within the framework of human rights, to provide specialized training for students based on linking human rights with the objectives of Islamic Sharia, derived from the Qur'an and Sunnah, as binding rights that cannot be suppressed, repealed, or suspended, and surrounded by guarantees that prevent aggression against them, as well as the research of these rights in their international and national legal framework.
To reach what is called "the human common" in this context, and to strengthen dialogue and rapprochement between peoples, and a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities that allow the advancement of human rights in Islamic societies through comparative academic studies, and to follow the latest developments in this field.

The use of technology to monitor demonstrations and civil activity and its impact on the right to peaceful assembly.

2- Methodologies of comparative research between Sharia and Law
· Training in the use of comparison tools between Sharia and Law
3- Critical and applied analysis:
· Enabling the student to evaluate the points of convergence between Sharia and positive laws, as well as the points of divergence.
· Activating the comparative method in dealing with contemporary issues.
4- Preparation for scientific research:
· Qualifying the student to formulate research on human rights through comparative studies.
5- Monitoring developments and collective reflection:
· Studying the efforts of jurisprudence academies and scientific conferences, as well as the philosophies and new ideas on human rights issues.
Eligibility for the doctoral stage is granted to any international student who meets the following conditions:
· A Baccalaureate degree (secondary education certificate) or its equivalent, in accordance with the pedagogical requirements.
· A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, in accordance with the pedagogical requirements.
· A Master's degree or its equivalent, in accordance with the pedagogical requirements.
· If the candidate does not speak Arabic, they are required to undergo a one-year training program in Arabic language at the Intensive Language Teaching Center at the university.
