Branch: Electrotechnique
Speciality: Power Systems
Speciality description:
The electrical power systems, with their ability to provide reliable and economical electrical energy, are one of the driving forces behind the development of the modern world. The power system includes all the equipment, infrastructure and processes involved in the production, the transmission and the distribution of electrical energy.
The master's degree in electrical networks is a specialised, high-level training programme in all the fields of electrical grids, providing the students with the necessary skills in the different areas of production, transmission and distribution of the electrical energy, in particular: the engineering, the design and the operation of LV, HV and UHV electrical grids.
The theoretical and practical skills targeted by this course are :
● Analysis, simulation and optimisation of large electrical networks.
● Sizing and calculation of LV and HV public and industrial electrical installations.
● Protection of industrial electrical installations.
● Conventional and renewable electricity generation and new technologies
● High-voltage techniques and electromagnetic compatibility
Graduates of the Master in Electrical Power Systems can be employed in the professional sector or in scientific research.
