Program Overview

Type of training:   Master's

Field:  Science and Technology

Branch: Electrical Engineering

Speciality: Industrial Electrical Engineering

Speciality description:

The Master's degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering aims to strike a balance between the following disciplines: electricity, electrical machines, control, automation, maintenance and diagnostics. These disciplines are essential for resolving the technical challenges encountered in scientific research and the various industrial sectors involved in the field of electrical engineering, industrial electricity and automation.

Graduates in Industrial Electrical Engineering will encounter interdependent technological constraints, and will be required to participate in the study, design and supervision of electrical systems, as well as in the diagnosis and maintenance of these systems.

The main skills targeted by the Industrial Electrical Engineering master's degree are:

1) Proficiency in the domain of low-voltage electrical systems and installations.

2) Proficiency in the diagnosis of electrical systems, with a focus on electrical machines.

3) The sizing and control of electrical systems, including conveyors, overhead travelling cranes, lifts, etc.

Fourthly, we will be discussing electrical drives and power electronics.

5) Automated systems.

6 - High-voltage systems and power quality.

Graduates of the Industrial Electrical Engineering master's degree will find a wide range of career opportunities in various professional sectors, with versatile skills that are in high demand.

These industrial sectors are highly diverse, encompassing industrial electricity, energy, electrical networks, variable speed drives, transport, construction, and more.

Furthermore, these graduates have the opportunity to pursue roles in the R&D departments of industrial companies and research centres.
