The Professional Master in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Materials at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) offers an elite training program, preparing students to become experts in inspection and non-destructive testing. This unique master in Algeria combines in-depth theory, intensive practice, and professional immersion, addressing the rigor and challenges required by modern industries in terms of product, installation, and structure quality control. NDT is a key sector in various fields such as oil and gas industry, automotive manufacturing, rail and maritime transport, aerospace, nuclear, and civil engineering works.
This Master’s program is structured over two years, starting with a common core in the first year, which is focused on the fundamentals of physical principles and basic non-destructive testing techniques. This is followed by a specialization in the second year, in which students deepen their knowledge with advanced non-destructive testing techniques, such as ultrasonic methods. They also complete an internship of approximately 300 hours, accompanied by a thesis defence.
