Browse Programs Admission InformationIn the Automation specialty, students acquire essential knowledge of automatic control by mastering the most widely used control and automation techniques across industrial sectors. To reach this proficiency, they first study system-modelling and identification methods together with control-design principles. They must also master the measurement chain, a variety of sensors, actuators, and their power-supply arrangements through static power converters. Courses in control electronics and power electronics are therefore indispensable. Once these foundations are secured, students are introduced to microcontrollers and their programming languages as an initial step, before progressing to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and the communication protocols employed in industrial systems and installations.
