The PhD program in the Division of Economic Sciences in Economic Analysis and Foresight aims to provide advanced education in the field of macro and microeconomic analysis and to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this field. 

The specialization of Economic Analysis and Foresight is a scientific field that focuses on the study of how limited economic resources are allocated to achieve maximum benefit. This specialization includes a set of economic methods and models aimed at analyzing and improving economic performance in various sectors and fields. Economic foresight is the study of the future directions of the economy, while trying to predict the challenges and opportunities that may arise in the future.

Objectives related to scientific research:

1. Analysis of economic performance: Through the use of accurate analytical tools, scientific research in this field aims to study economic patterns and understand the causes that lead to economic growth or recession.

2. Developing economic models: Innovating and developing economic models that contribute to improving the ability of economies to predict the future and make data-driven decisions.

3. Study of economic policies: Analyze and evaluate the impact of economic policies on various aspects of the economy, such as growth rates, unemployment, and inflation.

4. Environmental impact analysis: Studying the impact of economic policies on the environment scientifically and accurately to identify sustainable economic options.

Foresight in economic analysis is concerned with analyzing the future directions of the economy based on the factors that affect it, such as technological progress, demographic changes, and global economic policies.
