Program Overview

The inevitability of financial globalization and financial liberalization makes it necessary to ensure the protection of the national economy while simultaneously benefiting from their positive aspects, with the aim of achieving economic development. This is to be accomplished through the training of specialists in the field of business administration and management, enabling them to efficiently manage both physical and human capital and to make optimal use of resources by applying modern management methods. In addition, this program aims to train economic researchers capable of addressing issues related to the optimal use of resources, thereby ensuring the best performance of institutions and of the economy as a whole.

The general objectives of this program can be summarized as follows :

  •  Acquiring the largest possible amount of scientific and technical knowledge in the field of business economics and management.
  • This specialization enables the training of high quality competencies that serve national and local economic development.
  • Encouraging students to choose training pathways that are suited to their abilities and in line with their preferences
  •  Mastery of economic and technical tools specialized in business management.
  •  Developing knowledge in the field of project management and entrepreneurship.
  •  The ability to understand and apply certain economic and managerial concepts in the field of business economics and management.
  •   Adapting to the requirements of the national and local labor market.

Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

The structure of the Bachelor’s degree programs at the Institute of Economics and Management allows students to progressively choose their specialization according to the following model:

 

First Year (Year 01)

  • Semester One serves as a common entry point for the three Bachelor’s pathways within the Faculty of Economics and Management. It aims to introduce students to a variety of educational contents that help them determine their orientation toward one of these pathways.
  • Semester Two is intended for all students who have chosen the Economics and Management Sciences pathway.

At the end of the first year, students are required to choose one of the two pathways proposed for the second year:

  • Economic Sciences
  • Management Sciences

Second Year (Bachelor 2)

The second year offers two study pathways, from which the student must choose one:

  • Economic Sciences pathway
  • Management Sciences pathway

Third Year (Bachelor 3)

Studies continue in the two aforementioned pathways during the third year of the Bachelor’s degree. Starting from this year, two additional specializations are opened:

  • Monetary and Financial Economics
  • Economics and Business Management

Admissions Information

All cases must be included, namely:

  •   Holders of diplomas from the classical system.
  •   Holders of a second degree.
  • International students: Foreign students holding a Baccalaureate certificate or an equivalent qualification may enroll in this training program under the “Study in Algeria” system, after obtaining an equivalence certificate issued by the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
