- To train professionals with a command of specialist English and international relations to
work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international companies in Algeria;
- To develop students' language skills and knowledge of the culture of English-speaking
countries;
- To enable students to acquire skills in international relations law, international
communication and negotiation;
- Train experts capable of working in international organisations and public institutions
operating in Algeria;
- This double degree enables students to acquire an in-depth understanding of international
relations, geopolitics and diplomacy, as well as advanced language skills in English and
Arabic. Students will also learn to navigate in multicultural environments and work
effectively with international partners.

contexts and develop language and communication skills from a cross-cultural perspective.
Course of the Dual Degree programme
- The course lasts 6 semesters in the two sites, the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the
Faculty of Law and International Language.
- The course includes two different curricula, each corresponding to a domain. Students will
have to study between 8 and 10 subjects each semester separately for each domain (Applied
English Language and International Relations)
- Students need to be proficient in Arabic and have a B1/B2 CEFR in English.
- Students’ attendance is mandatory; they will have to study three days in the Faculty of
Foreign Languages and three days in the Faculty of Law and Political Science.
- The course is hybrid and requires internet access; it includes onsite teaching and online
teaching: Moodle / asynchronous / synchronous videoconferencing.
The dual degree is a university programme that allows students to obtain two degrees in two
different fields at the same time (Applied English Language and International Relations).
Students will follow two courses simultaneously, helping them to acquire skills and
knowledge in two different domains. Students will have to study the course subjects in two
languages, Specialised English in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Arabic in the Faculty
of Law and Political Sciences. The aim is to study two courses in three years, instead of six,
studying each degree in three years.
