Program Overview

The objectives of the proposed training are to train specialists in quality control and the implementation of a quality and food safety approach, through the mastery not only of the various technical aspects of food analysis but also of the technical knowledge of food products and their processing processes.

Sectors of activity

In the food industry, the quality control officer is responsible for both the NI product and the manufacturing procedure. In the event of an anomaly, he must be able to analyze its causes and provide solutions by developing new production methods. In addition, it must be able to raise awareness among the staff of the agri-food industries of good practices in terms of quality, hygiene and safety. Finally, he must be able to draft the procedures to be followed by all the actors concerned (internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors).

At the end of their training, the future graduate in quality control and food analysis should be able to track down and detect anomalies, in order to guarantee the consumer healthy and safe food. To do so, he will have to be able to manage the analyses of the products, validate their compliance with the specifications of the customers and the standards of the regulations. It is also up to him to control hygiene conditions and to set recommendations to control the quality of the product throughout the production and distribution chain.


Admissions Information

This training course is aimed at students who have successfully completed the two years of the preparatory cycle, have been admitted to the institution's integrated competitive examination and have a minimum average of access to the specialty. It is part of a 5-year integrated course (two preparatory years + 2 years of common core of speciality + one year of specialisation).
