Browse Programs Admission InformationThe field of Arabic Language and Literature encompasses a wide range of study programs offered at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. These programs provide comprehensive training in the Arabic language, its literature, and culture, while also developing research, entrepreneurial, and digital competencies, as well as proficiency in foreign languages.
At the Bachelor’s level, which spans three years, students acquire foundational knowledge of the Arabic language, its literature, and literary criticism during the first two years. In the second year, they begin to specialize in one of three streams: Linguistics, Literature, or Critical Studies. The third year focuses on advanced, specialized training in one of the following tracks: Applied Linguistics, Arabic Literature, or Criticism and Methodologies.
At the Master’s level, students build on this foundation through advanced coursework, further deepening their linguistic, literary, and critical knowledge, while enhancing their research capabilities and professional competencies.
* First Year:
Students are introduced to foundational courses, including:
· Classical linguistic sciences, such as grammar and rhetoric.
· Literary texts and traditional critical approaches.
· Communication skills development.
Second Year:(Specialization in one of three streams: Linguistics, Literature, or Literary Criticism)
· Continuation of classical linguistic studies, with the introduction of modern linguistic sciences.
· Study of literary texts alongside modern and contemporary critical methodologies.
· Supplementary courses tailored to the student’s selected stream.
Third Year:
· Consolidation of foundational knowledge in the chosen track through advanced courses relevant to the selected stream.
· Continuous training throughout the program in research methods, digital literacy, and foreign languages.
