Doctor of Pharmacy

Our 6-year curriculum follows the Algerian national standard and includes:

Traditional Curriculum (5 years + 1 year of internship)

1. Theoretical and Practical Instruction (5 Years)

Years 1 & 2 (Common Core):

- Basic Sciences:

• Pharmaceutical Chemistry • Biochemistry • Physiology • Pharmacognosy • Botany

- Professional Introduction:

• Pharmaceutical Technology (galenic) • Medical Biology • Observation Internships (pharmacies)

Years 3 & 4 & 5 (Advanced):

- Specialized Disciplines:

• Pharmacology • Toxicology • Microbiology • Hospital Hygiene

• Pharmaceutical Legislation • Quality Assurance

- Practical Internships:

• Microbiology Laboratory, immunology, pharmacology, biochemistry and toxicology • hospital pharmacy. 2. Mandatory Internship Year (6th Year)

- Work-Related Rotations:

1. Hospital Internship

2. Industrial Internship

3. Laboratory Internship

- Validation:

• Internship Report • Final Dissertation and Oral Defense before a Jury
