Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Institute of Science and Technology at the University Centre of Maghnia is an academic institution dedicated to study, teaching, and research in the fields of science and technology.
Our main objective is to promote innovation, train qualified professionals, and contribute to the scientific and technological development of society.
Our institute offers Licence, Master, and Doctorate (PhD) programs and conducts advanced research on various engineering topics.
The Institute of Science and Technology provides specialized training in several fields after students successfully complete their first year in the common core Science and Technology program. The available specializations include Hydraulics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Telecommunications.
These specializations align with the region’s overall development strategy. The institute has established several partnerships with universities and socio-economic actors to enrich its students' education. As a result, the institute plays a key role as a scientific and cultural hub within the University Center of Maghnia
The training program is structured over six semesters for the Licence and four semesters for the Master’s. At the end of the Master’s program, students complete a practical internship within one of the socio-economic partner institutions of the University Centre of Maghnia.
The main subjects that students take during their studies in first year of licence (L1) Common Core in Science and Technology are as follows:
Mathematics, Physics, Structure of Matter, Thermodynamics, and Computer Science.
This field allows students to explore various scientific and technological fields before choosing a specific specialization in the second year, such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Telecommunications, and more.

The Institute of Science and Technology welcomes students from Algeria and abroad who wish to pursue higher education in the fields of science and technology, ranging from undergraduate and graduate degrees to doctoral studies
To enroll in the Science and Technology major, the student must meet the following conditions: must hold a Baccalaureate in one of the scientific fields, such as:
Typically, admission to this major requires a solid average in scientific subjects (mathematics, physics, and natural sciences).
Admission averages may vary depending on demand and the number of available seats, but generally a score of 10/20 or above is required.
To advance from the first year of the common core to the second year of the Licence in one of the above-mentioned specializations, the student must achieve a general average of 10/20 or obtain 30 credits
