Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Renewable Energy Engineering program, offered by the National Higher School of Renewable Energies, Environment, and Sustainable Development (RE²=SD), distinguishes itself as a pioneering academic pathway in Algeria. Its uniqueness stems from its multidisciplinary approach, integrating Electrical Engineering and Energy Engineering to provide a comprehensive foundation in renewable energy systems.
This program encompasses the full spectrum of renewable energy processes, including production, transmission, storage, and consumption, ensuring graduates acquire both theoretical depth and practical expertise.
The curriculum spans three academic years (Third, Fourth, and Fifth Years), each structured into semesters (S1 and S2):
Third Year: Foundational studies in energy and electrical engineering principles.
Fourth Year: Advanced technological training in design and optimization of renewable energy conversion systems.
Fifth Year: Specialized coursework in entrepreneurship, innovation, project management, environmental impact assessment, economic modeling, energy regulations, and grid integration.
Final Semester (S2, Fifth Year): A mandatory industry internship, providing hands-on experience and professional engagement within the renewable energy sector.
The national recruitment is conducted through a competitive exam. It is open to students who have completed two years in preparatory classes, the common core of technology sciences, or the common core of material sciences - physics. The ranking is determined based on the competition score, with a specific coefficient applied.
