Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Faculty of Medicine annex of Chlef is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of Blida on a pedagogical level and trains medical students for the award of a Doctor of Medicine degree.
Basic courses: The academic program for medical studies consists of a preclinical cycle of three years where the student learns the fundamental sciences during the first two years and a third year related to practical and theoretical clinical semiology.
A second, purely clinical cycle follows, where the student learns at the patient's bedside in the mornings and has theoretical sessions in the afternoons.
During this clinical cycle, the student learns all the data related to all pathologies by specialty.
This training concludes with a purely practical internship of one year, divided into four three-month rotations, between internal medicine, gynecology, surgery, and pediatrics.
After these seven years of study, the student obtains their Doctor of General Medicine degree.
A specialization cycle can be undertaken following a residency competition.
Admission of students to the doctoral studies in medicine is subject to obtaining a high school diploma (baccalaureate) grade determined annually by our supervising authority, and this concerns new high school graduates from the science and mathematics streams.
