Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

Year 1:

The first year establishes scientific foundations with courses in biomathematics, computer science and biostatistics, along with general and organic pharmaceutical chemistry. Students study pharmaceutical physics, cell and plant biology, complemented by language courses (French and English). The program includes descriptive functional anatomy and introduces pharmacy history and galenics, as well as physiology.

Year 2:

The second year deepens knowledge with physiopathology and inorganic pharmaceutical chemistry. Courses cover fundamental analytical chemistry, biophysics and pharmaceutical botany. Genetics and structural, metabolic and molecular biochemistry are taught, along with general culture reinforcement (French and English).

Year 3:

The third year marks the beginning of specialization with pharmacognosy and galenic pharmacy. Students study therapeutic and analytical chemistry, as well as general pharmacology. Medical semiology is introduced to prepare for clinical aspects of the profession.

Year 4:

The focus shifts to applied medical sciences: medical microbiology, hemobiology and blood transfusion. The program includes immunology, parasitology-mycology and medical biochemistry, preparing students for diagnostic and therapeutic aspects.

Year 5:

The fifth year covers specialized fields like toxicology and hydro-bromatology. Students learn about industrial, clinical and hospital pharmacy, along with pharmaceutical management. Courses in epidemiology, research methodology and pharmaceutical law complete the training.

Year 6:

The final year is dedicated to practical internships in community pharmacies, hospitals and pharmaceutical industry. Students prepare and defend a practice thesis before a jury. Successful completion leads to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
