Browse Programs Admission InformationOur 7-year program follows the Algerian national standard and includes:
Doctoral Cycle (7 years)
Preclinical Cycle (1st to 3rd years):
- Fundamental courses: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Histology.
- Introduction to semiology and clinical examination techniques.
- Introductory internships in a hospital setting.
Clinical Cycle (4th to 6th years):
- Specialized courses: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Gynecology-Obstetrics, etc.
- Mandatory hospital internships in accredited departments (Batna University Hospital, Batna CLCC, Mother and Child EHS, etc.).
- Internship at the faculty's simulation center
- Training in medical research (final dissertation).
Internship (one year)
The internship is the mandatory year of practical training after the six years of medical training. Residents complete three-month rotations in clinical departments. Pediatric and gynecology rotations are mandatory, with an internship in a medical department and another rotation in surgical departments.
Centers of Excellence:
- Cancerology: Partnership with the Batna Cancer Center.
- Minimally Invasive Surgery: Training on high-fidelity simulators.
- Organ Transplantation (cornea, kidney, and liver)
Innovative Programs
Meeting the demands of global health with modules in immunology, genetics, occupational and environmental health, geriatrics, and systemic diseases, as well as teaching in public health, health economics, preventive medicine, and medical law.
- Prerequisites: Scientific baccalaureate (or equivalent) with academic record.
- Procedure:
- Registration via the "STUDY IN ALGERIA" platform.
- Validation of equivalencies by the relevant ministry.
- Language: Training provided in ENGLISH (B2 level required). Starting in the 2025/2026 academic year
