Program Overview

The medical program in Algeria is one of the most sought-after fields of study and requires a strong academic commitment over several years. It lasts seven (7) years, at the end of which the student obtains a Doctorate in General Medicine.

Program Structure

  1. The first three years (1, 2, 3): Focused on theoretical education, covering fundamental subjects such as anatomy, embryology, histology, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics.
  2. ears 4, 5, and 6: This phase marks the beginning of clinical training, where students participate in hospital internships in the morning and attend theoretical courses in the afternoon. Subjects include cardiology, infectious diseases, and other core medical disciplines.
  3. Seventh year: Dedicated exclusively to practical internships, where students rotate through four different specialties, including gynecology-obstetrics and pediatrics (mandatory), as well as two elective specialties. Each internship lasts three months.
